KLAUS SHIPMAN

My passion for audio began when I was 14, and was the single student in a music technology class offered at the American International School of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. After 9 years of living in and around Europe, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's in Recording Arts and a minor in Computer Science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Currently I'm a sound designer and audio editor at Source Sound, Inc., where I work primarily in theatrical movie trailers, XR experiences, podcasts, and game cinematics.  When not in the studio, I enjoy watching off-the-wall films, slowly making my way through my Steam Library backlog, hiking, and trying new food. My aspirational areas of growth include field and sound effects recording, ethical workflow automation, and new opportunities for sound design.
